Spring Easter Tablescape

Spring is a time of new beginnings. Fresh flowers, fresh air, sunshine, birds chirping, and a changing of seasons. One way I enjoy bringing in spring is by incorporating spring decor throughout the house. Fresh linens, light and bright colors, fresh and faux flowers, and a new tablescape. When building a tablescape for any season, you can choose to keep things simple with a delicate centerpiece, or style the table with a look complete with place settings. For spring, I am bringing in hues of blues, whites and greenery, perfect for an Easter Sunday Brunch!

To start, I decided on a neutral table runner. Cream with navy lines sets the tone for the table. I like to use either a table runner or placemats, but not both. Some larger tables can accommodate both, but on a smaller table they end up overlapping too much. I opted against chargers for this setting as well to keep it a little less formal. For the dish-ware, I stacked a muted blue/gray dinner plate with an ivory salad plate. To finish the look I added a gorgeous blue floral napkin in a woven napkin ring. For some warmth, I ultilized simple brass silverware.

For the centerpiece, I started with a round white washed woven tray. I then added in clear glass vases in varying sizes to hold the greenery. I mixed faux white tulips with faux white stephanotis stems. They are whimsical and the perfect mix of white and the perfect shade of green. Finally I added the cutest moss bunnies I picked up at Hobby Lobby to the tray. The bunnies and tulips say “Easter” without overdoing it.
