Holiday Mantle Styling

When we were in the beginning stages of building our home a few years back, having a fireplace and mantle was a priority for me. You would think this was for having fires to keep us warm, but in reality it was because I envisioned decorating a mantle and hanging our stockings at Christmas time! The holidays are my favorite time of the year and the mantle is my favorite place to style during this season!

New to our holiday fireplace this year is our favorite new tv. We recently purchased a frame tv from Samsung and it really helps to transform the design by incorporating art to our fireplace. It really makes all the difference setting the mood of the space rather than a big black box as a focal point. I tried to talk David into removing the tv all-together, but there really is no other place to put one in this room. The frame tv was a good compromise. Currently we have an art piece I selected from one of my favorite art print companies, Collection Prints. The piece, Snowfall on the Farm, is from their winter collection and ties the entire look together.

For the garland, I layered a few different varieties to create a mixed foliage, droopy look. I have two Norfolk pine and one seeded eucalyptus mixed in. Twinkle lights and blue berry picks add a whimsical flair. I then draped a garland of wooden ornaments I have from a few seasons ago under the mantle. You could accomplish this with a bell garland or wooden beads!

My favorite part of the entire look are the antique-style bells hung with each of the stockings. They add so much charm and a sense of history to the room. I chose to hang all of the stockings off to one side. To balance this, I put the candlesticks and the wooden trees on the hearth on the opposite side.

I’ve linked the exact or similar items I used to style our mantle below. I hope to inspire you with this simple cozy fireplace display. This post contains affiliate links, which means I may receive a small commission when you purchase something through my links at no additional cost to you.
