The Stockings Were Hung . . .
When we were in the beginning stages of building our home a few years back, having a fireplace and mantle was a priority for me. You would think this was for having fires to keep us warm, but in reality it was because I envisioned decorating a mantle and hanging our stockings at Christmas time! The holidays are my favorite time of the year and the mantle is my favorite place to style during this season!
Starting with the art on our frame tv, we are currently featuring a print from one of my favorite art print companies, Collection Prints. The piece, Snowfall on the Farm, is from their winter collection and ties the entire look together.
For the garland, I layered a few different varieties to give it some texture and dimension. I love the look of the garland hanging long on one side so I used 4 total garland to give a full look. I have 2 norfolk pine and 2 eucalyptus. I added in some white caspia flower stems in to add a whimsical flair.
My favorite part of the entire look are the antique-style bells hung with each of the stockings. They add so much charm to the look. I chose to hang all of the stockings off to one side. New this year, I thought it would be fun to use 4 different styles of stockings in the same color to give a collected look. To balance this, I put these gorgeous brass lanterns on the opposite side.
I’ve linked the exact or similar items I used to style our mantle below. I hope to inspire you with this simple cozy fireplace display.
