School has started and fall is in the air. My favorite time of the year. One thing I look forward to during this time of the year is hosting guests for dinner parties and the holidays. We have a few chipped plates and we’ve had the same silverware since our first apartment 12 years ago, so I thought it was time to give our place setting a nice refresh before the fall festivities begin! Place Settings
We currently have gray plates and I have always loved the look of crisp white dishware. After searching around I found so many that were too plain jane. I then stumbled upon this perfect dishware set from Walmart Home that has a little texture which adds a special detail. This set comes in a 16 piece, with 4 dinner plates, 4 appetizer plates, 4 bowls and 4 mugs. Another bonus - the mugs are a great size for morning coffee!
Now for finding silverware. Anything would be better than the set we had been using for over a decade. I wanted something slim and shiny with a small amount of detail. This set, also from Walmart, was just what I had in mind.
The final new piece for our new place settings I picked up were these gorgeous place mats! I love the neutral tones of gray and ivory, perfect for fall. And get this, a set of 4 is just $10! Such a great deal!
